Measure your rear tires from outside to outside. Likely you will want to purchase a tiller that will cut out your tracks. You should have enough HP for any standard depth 6' tiller. Note most manufacturers use gear drive in their upper scale tillers, no chains to break or adjust. ....

My L3430 'plays' with a 60 inch tiller, so I assume you could run at least a 72 inch one. I have extremely hard and rocky soil too. I believe my 3430 could run a 72 inch too.

Clay turns hard but still 72" at a minumim with extra inches being a plus. If 76 or 78 available you might find a better value for you if you have a lot to do. ....
